Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does my child need a formal diagnosis of dyslexia or any other learning difference to receive your services?
Answer:
No. If your child is a reluctant reader, has difficulty sounding out unfamiliar words, or struggles to read fluently, it is imperative to begin intervention as soon as possible.
Q: How will I receive information on how my child is doing?
Answer:
In addition to any immediate verbal feedback at the end of each session, monthly written reports will be provided for you to track your child’s progress. You may share these reports with your child’s classroom teacher if you wish.
Q: How long are sessions?
Answer:
You may choose from either a 60, 45 or 30-minute session ideally scheduled twice a week. You may consider beginning with a 30-minute session depending on the age, stamina or attention span of your child.
